Flow Therapy is committed to making mental health care accessible — including the website that introduces it. We're targeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA and improving continuously.
What we've built for
- Keyboard navigation — the whole site works without a mouse. Tab through links, buttons, and the interactive map; activate with Enter or Space.
- Screen readers — semantic HTML, ARIA labels on interactive components, descriptive link text, and proper heading order throughout.
- Color contrast — text against background meets or exceeds 4.5:1. Our plum on cream is approximately 12:1.
- Text resize — the site reflows cleanly at 200% zoom and uses relative units everywhere.
- Reduced motion — we respect
prefers-reduced-motionand avoid auto-playing animations. - Alternative text — meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative elements are marked appropriately.
- Form labels — every input has an associated label and accessible error messaging.
- Focus indicators — clearly visible focus rings, not removed.
Known limitations
We're honest about what's not yet perfect. Current items we're improving:
- The interactive state map is decorative and informational, not navigational. State names and license details are also available as plain text below the map.
- Older content (PDFs, intake forms) is being audited and remediated through 2026.
- Third-party content (e.g., insurance carrier links) is outside our control but flagged when external.

We respond within five business days.
Telehealth accessibility
Our video sessions use a platform with captioning support, screen reader compatibility, and keyboard-only operation. We can also conduct sessions by phone if video is inaccessible to you.
For deaf and hard-of-hearing clients, we welcome video sessions with sign language interpreters and can coordinate scheduling. Please mention any accommodations at intake.
This site is being evaluated against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We last audited May 1, 2026 and audit again every six months.
Formal complaints
If you believe you've been denied access on the basis of disability and we've been unable to resolve it, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights at hhs.gov/ocr.
